Type K Thermocouple plug corresponding to Type K thermocouple wire. These plugs are generally Yellow and available in a number of configurations, the mini flat pin is shown here.
Type T Thermocouple plug corresponding to Type T thermocouple wire. These plugs are generally Blue and available in a number of configurations, the standard/default large round pin is shown here with the “write on” window for ease of labeling.
Type T Thermocouple plug corresponding to Type T thermocouple wire. These plugs are generally Blue and available in a number of configurations, the miniature flat pin plug configuration is shown here.
North American ANSI standards assign color coding to different thermocouple alloy types. Plug colors may or may not generally adhere to these standards and may be dictated by material type. Thermocouple wire pairing however will be White and Red for Type J, Yellow and Red for Type K and Blue and Red for type T. Ribbon thermocouples have no individual sheathing coloration.
Thermocouples are available standard in Type J and Type K by request. Per North American standard, generally Type J plugs are Black and Type K are Yellow. These plugs are also available with a write on window and in both “Round Pin” large standard configuration and the mini plug “Flat Pin” configuration of the desired type.
